„Crispy Cross Color!“ Experimental-Film-Processing-Workshop
at the 13th Dresdner Schmalfilmtagen / Small Format Days

The fourth wabisabi workshop at the Small Format Festival!

The most horrible month of the year: cold, wet, white-greyish half-melted snow lying around … there's only one solution: the amazingly warming Super 8 colour therapy!!

A workshop with 7 participants, 7 cameras, 7 rolls of Kodak Ektachrome 100D, fine grains and warm colours, a miraculous film that turns grey muddy surroundings and weather into something Mediterranean! Almost psychedelic, especially the red color!

We'll cross-process this film which means not like designated reversal processing (E6) but color negative (C41). Crispy, slightly color-deranged tones might emerge ... it can get exciting! (after the workshop there's a chance of digitizing and inversing the film to positive).

We'll dive into the wabisabi universe, develop ideas and ourselves … and everybody can take a camera home overnight to continue.
The second day we'll develop all films together!
In the end every participant will have his or her own personal 3 minute heart warming winter resistant Super-8-Film!

Pure camera joy!
Attention: bad loop!
