Die Königsheide im Bezirk Treptow-Köpenick ist nicht nur ein beliebtes Naherholungsgebiet, sondern ein historisch und kulturell bedeutsamer Ort. Aufgrund ihrer biologischen Vielfalt erscheint sie als ein schützenswerter Naturraum inmitten der Stadt, der ökologische Vordenker*innen auf internationaler Ebene als Modell beschäftigt.
Die Ausstellung im CLB Berlin präsentiert die Arbeitsergebnisse von vier Künstlerinnen, die sich aktuell mit der Geschichte und Gegenwart der Königsheide auseinandergesetzt haben: Dagie Brundert, katrinem, Birgit Szepanski und Maike Zimmermann. In verschiedenen Medien wie Lochkamerafotografie, Video, Augmented Reality (Vorarbeiten), Soundwalks und einem offenen Archiv erkundeten sie diesen besonderen Ort und laden nun dazu ein, die Königsheide mit ihnen neu zu entdecken.

The Königsheide in the district of Treptow-Köpenick is not only a popular recreational area, but also a historically and culturally significant place. Due to its biological diversity and as a natural space in the middle of the city, it appears to be worthy of protection and is a model for ecological thinkers on an international level.
CLB is pleased to present the works of four artists who are currently investigating the past and present of Königsheide: Dagie Brundert, katrinem, Birgit Szepanski and Maike Zimmermann. In various media such as pinhole camera photography, video, augmented reality (preliminary work), sound walks and an open archive, they explore this special landscape and invite you to rediscover the Königsheide with them.
Eine kleine Gruppe von 5 Leuten, eine Super-8-Kamera, Schwarzweißfilm. Wir gehen in den Wald und lassen uns von Stimmung und Zufall leiten. Wir filmen und sammeln nebenbei die Zutaten für die Entwicklung danach: Was der Wald uns gibt (Rinde, Blätter, Pilze, Farne, Flechten, Beeren …). Wir brauen daraus einen “Waldtee”: die Essenz des Waldes!
Zusammengemixt mit Waschsoda und Vitamin-C-Pulver ergibt das eine kraftvolle Brühe, die die Fähigkeit hat, Silbersalze in metallisches Silber umzuwandeln – die Magie der Fotografie, das Entstehen, das Sichtbarmachen eines Bildes.
Der entstandene Film wird als digitale Fassung in der Galerie gezeigt.

Dienstag, 08.11.2022 - Workshop Teil 2 im CLB - Bioentwickler kochen und Film entwickeln als Performance, 18-20 Uhr
A small group of 6 people, a Super 8 camera, black & white film. We head into the forest and let ourselves be guided by mood and coincidence. We film and collect the ingredients for the development afterwards: what the forest provides (bark, leaves, lichens, berries …). We use it to brew a kind of “forest tea”: the essence of the forest!
Mixed together with washing soda and vitamin C powder, this results in a powerful broth that has the ability to convert silver salts into metallic silver - the magic of photography, the creation of an image. The resulting film can be seen as a digital version in the gallery.
